The design is quietly classy (unlike Yamaha), so this keyboard looks more like a digital piano than your typical electronic keyboard. The model takes into account factors including the age of a rating, whether the ratings are from verified purchasers, and factors that establish reviewer trustworthiness.Disabling it will result in some disabled or missing features.
Now that it has arrived I am really happy that I went with the Casio. The keys are not only touch sensitive but also weighted which really adds the effect of a real piano, as I have also used a Yamaha keyboard of the same price I can say that the Casio is much better in tone and feel. There are also many tones on the piano many of which are very useful and also features like an option to transpose and add extra reverberation. The song teaching feature is very helpful and goes through step by step (although only teaches the melody notes) and a nice handy song book with 90 whole songs. Overall I think I made the right choice on getting this keyboard and would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to learn the piano, the only drawback is that a power cable is not not supplied, but you can easily get a 9Volt DC adaptor for cheap. I even accidently managed to get sustain on the notes when I by accident put the headphones in the sustain socket, but it is a permanent sustain and sustains all the notes (this is not advised though, a proper sustain pedal would be needed). All was fine until last week, when it started to make crackling noises and has now stopped totally. Just been onto Amazon to find out how to return faulty items. Casio Ctk 2000 Review Update On WhatI was directed to the citizens advice website so it does not appear hopeful I will update on what Amazon do about this. But an expensive purchase if they do not offer a replacement. If you want to compare CASIO CTK-3000 with similar YAMAHA (ex. Dynamic-touch keys are softer (to my opinion), it has more tones and rhythms, its lighter and it has USB. You have to buy else Adaptor ( converter if you have another power socket standart) and Sustain Pedal. I bought Casio AD-5ML adaptor and Damper Sustain Pedal for Yamaha, Casio, Roland etc. You can connect the keyboard to a computer with an ordinary usb A B cable (about 2 or 3 pounds). Excellent range of tones, rhythms and song samples ideal for first timer just starting out on the learning path to stardom. ![]()
